The FRB-CESAB, in collaboration with HEIRS (hub for Human Evolution Research Synthesis), and supported by the PNDB, is launching a call to fund two types of complementary groups:
- IdeaShare โ Focuses on creating new concepts, models, and methods through interdisciplinary collaboration. It brings together biodiversity experts with specialists from other fields to explore fresh perspectives.
- DataShare โ Aims to accelerate the assembly, curation, harmonization, and open sharing of biodiversity-related datasets to make them accessible and reusable for future research.
The work achieved within each group can serve as a foundation for future research proposals to more established biodiversity synthesis centres like CESAB, sDiv, or NCEAS.
Whatโs up for grabs?
4 projects will be funded, including:
- 3 generic groups (no restrictions on biodiversity topics)
- 1 thematic group co-funded by HEIRS, focusing on Biodiversity and Human Evolution
